Do Follow Forums and Blogs Search Engine

Saturday, June 20, 2009

Looking for the dofollow forums search engine instead?

This is a Search-Engine for finding dofollow blogs. Dofollow blogs do not have any rel=”nofollow” tag on the links, thus they give you a valid backlink. Those backlinks are very important for SEO.

How to use the dofollow Search engine?

Enter a keyword and the search engine will find niche related blogs which dofollow. This is extremely good for link-building, especially because the blogs will be niche related.

Click on the results and write a comment on the blogs. If the author will approve your comment then you got a valid backlink which will increase your backlinks.

Make sure that you do not use spammy keywords as names, as most bloggers usually just delete those. Your name would be enough, of course, a keyword is better, but the name is sufficient.

How to increase backlinks to your site [Part 3]

Sunday, June 14, 2009

Cbox Links - CBox; a Tagboard software that bloggers and website owners can add to their website. It works much like the Wordpress comments part of the wordpress script only its a simple shoutbox type script that you can throw a few links onto.
Google query to find an updated list of sites running this vulnerable software: allintext:[get a cbox]

Tagbox Linkdropping - Another like the Cbox is Tagbox it works the exact same way.
Powered by Tagbox

Digging - Digging the same as any network like such brings an incredible amount of backlinks and gets the buzz around fast. You can use things like Piqq, which is a digg exchange.

Commenthunt - Most of you already know this but commenthunt searches blogs without
nofollow tags its a search engine type thing you can search for relevent blogs the url is http://www.commenthunt.com

Oggix.com - heres another shoutbox type way of backlinks Check This Query and get dumping links.

Digitalpoint CO-Op Network - Another one that can work in some cases.
Digitalpoint developed a mass link exchange program called the DP Co-op Advertising Network (aff). After signing up, you then add 3-5 links on every one of your pages, and this earns you more linking power (coop weight). The more weight you have, the more links to your site you receive from other members in the coop. You can choose up to 15 anchor texts and there are over 30,000,000 available links in the network today. Sites have been using it to rank #1 for “Debt” “credit cards” “bankruptcy” and “loans.” Such a simple method is allowing them to outrank massive authority sites like Wikipedia, but the main concern is how long will this gravy train last and when will Google do something about it?

Google staff already know about the network, but have not yet done anything to prevent
people from quickly ranking for popular terms. Just want to clarify that many people would NOT recommend this technique to anyone that is going to be doing a long term link building campaign for their blogs, but some would recommend it for “made for adsense” sites, and even blackhat/greyhat temporary high profit earning sites.

Article Submission - If you have a product thats going to be released or a new site, its best to get the word around fast, using something like Article Equaliser or something that mass submits to a ton of article directories, this builds fast backlinks but sometimes takes time to get approved, and its best not using spammy type articles but interesting ones work better. And you'll find that a lot of other sites scrape article sites for there own content. Giving even more backlinks.

Using Software - You can also use software like Internet Business Promoter, version 8, because it scans the engines for you, and gets links using keywords, to semi-automatically fill link submission forms to niche related directories. It works well and although is a slow process works perfectly.

How to increase backlinks to your site [Part 2]

RSS Feed Directories - This ones for the bloggers and forum owners too, anything really with an RSS feed, even if you fake an RSS feed and randomize it, it can still work.
Here is a good list of places to submit your feeds or you can use those automated software like RSS Announcer or Submitter, Or Bloggergenerators free blog and ping tools, theres a ton out there.

* Feedest.com
* Postami.com
* 2RSS.com
* FeedsFarm.com
* RssFeeds.com
* Feeds4all.com
* Plazoo.com
* FeedBomb.com
* Page2go2.com

Digg Comments - Digg comments can get you a few links and the latest comment is always usually at the top. So its an idea maybe to post on the popular diggs.

Contests - Contests are a good way of word of mouth or bloggers blogging about it, another good example is a giveaway for say the person who sends the most traffic to you, you can use a link trading script to check whos best or a referer script to see which person sends the most, this will bring links to you if you work it smartly.

Flickr - Flickr allows comments on photos taken by other people, now you can go wild and mass comment but i wouldn't recommend it, instead pick suitable pics about your niche and simply write a comment saying something smart like can i use this picture on my blog here, then drop your link, or go wild and do it anywhere.

How to increase backlinks to your site [Part 1]

Wednesday, June 10, 2009

One of the most important factor that leads to your website appearing high in search engine results is the number of back links... Backlinks are your links on another website.

The multi million question….

HOW DOES ANY ONE GET BACKLINKS????

Tough question…

Two Quick free links

Two simple ones that you have probably seen around a lot when your searching for sites is the aboutus.org and the wiki directory , these can just be thrown up in about 1 minute flat, and make sure in the wiki directory you add some related categories for better potential. They should get you indexed pretty fast.

Unlimited free .edu and .gov links

Another great potential is edu and gov links as Google and others give authority over these types of domain extentions.
The ’site:’ feature in Google allows only results with that domain name or domain extension to show up. You can “hack” this feature to allow Google to find the most relevant university and government websites related to your sites.

Heres a few examples.

Google query: site:.gov blog [or site:.edu blog]
Results in: Google finds any .gov website that is running a blog or has a /blog/ directory. You can then visit these blogs and post comments (if you can find wordpress blogs like this one), and get hundreds of free .gov backlinks.
[Alternative queries: ‘blog’ ‘blogs’ ‘wordpress’ ‘comment’ ‘guestbook’ ‘2007′ ‘2006′]

Google query: site:.edu *your niche* + blog
For example: site:.edu internet marketing blog
The top result is a .edu blog that links to a non edu blog, but that blog is related and is PR3 and has edu backlinks. That is also a great relevant place to comment, even if it is not directly a .edu. On the other hand, the third result was a PR3 highly related .edu internet marketing blog with zero comments. That is easy .edu backlinks!

You can easily replicate these queries to fit your needs, and it is highly scalable. You can find .edu, .gov, and if you are lucky, .mil blogs. If you are not as picky, you can just search specifically for the blogs without the .edu or .gov extension, and you can find some high pageranked blogs on the first pages of results. Play around with it, enjoy it, it’s free! Then ofourse you know how to drop a link on the comments.

Edu Guestbooks

Guestbooks can too be quite good for dropping backlinks and if you want a few edu ones with good PR heres a small list below. Ill not go into detail on how to add your link as im sure you will all know, anyway heres the links.

10 SEO Tips For Small Business

Tuesday, April 7, 2009

Small businesses in the UK are increasingly turning towards Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) to get noticed. SEO plays a key role in driving more traffic to a website, thus improving its business potential.

While SEO is a powerful tool, it does not yield results if not used properly. So, here are ten SEO tips to direct relevant traffic to your website.

1. Add your company name, address and contact number to your website
Use a standard format to add this information across pages on your website. Search engines are increasingly recognising addresses from various websites and adding them to their databases. If you provide your contact details in the universally accepted format given below, it will be easier for search engines to identify and pick out this information from the rest of the contact.

2. Submit company information to Google Local
Google is the most widely used search engine across the world, with a more than 65% share of the market. Creating a Google Local profile will enable you to enter detailed information about your business, which can then be available to people searching for related information online.

3. Make use of an analytic program to improve your site
An analytic program allows you to track activity on your website. Knowing about the people who visit your website can help you in further optimising your site to suit their preferences. One such program is Google Analytics, which can be installed free of cost. Google Analytics provides you with crucial information regarding your visitors, including how they found your site and which pages they visited.

4. Check the title of all web pages
The titles are a pointer to the relevance of each web page to the search terms being used in a search engine. A title, such as Welcome or Home, does not show the search engine or the searcher the information contained on the web page. The result is a lower number of people willing to click on the site link and less relevance to the search terms used to seek your information.

5. Submit your business information across as many free directories as you can
Enter business information in directories such as Yahoo! and DMOZ. Do the same in any directory related to your niche and location.

6. Optimise keywords
The key to best results is the use of relevant keywords. To identify the relevant keywords, put yourself in your target reader’s shoes and ask yourself what you would type if you were looking for the business you are in. These key-phrases and keywords should become part of the content on your site.

7. Build a sitemap of your website and submit it on search engines
A sitemap is quite simply a map of your website. For websites that have yet to be found by search engines, a sitemap is the easiest way to let them know everything you have on your website.

8. Add META tags
META tags, which are used to list keywords relevant to a web page, were at one time the most important factor on which website rating was based on search engines. Even though the importance of META tags relative to keywords has declined, they still need to be included across every page on your website.

9. Validate your HTML code
The syntax of the HTML code used on your website must be validated. This would ensure the structural correctness of your website and improve the chances of a search engine reading your site correctly. During the validation, common mistakes can also be caught and rectified, which would help your on-page search engine optimisation.

10. Choose your SEO company wisely
While you consider which SEO company to choose for your business, avoid going by the recommendations written on the webpage of any SEO company. Do your own research on the industry. Beware of SEO firms that guarantee rankings and boast of having a “special relationship” or even a “priority submit” understanding with Google.

Lost my rankings, Google has dropped!!!!

Monday, March 30, 2009

So I am going to attempt to explain some of reasons for a loss in rankings in the hopes that it might help clear out the excessive posting on this issue. Please let me know if I am unclear about something.

First I should explain what causes rankings to drop and/or fluctuate. There are actually a number of reasons. Here are a few:

1. Some of the back links pointing to your site have been devalued or are no longer active(your link was removed)
2. A competitor has gotten the edge on you and taken your positions. Generally only a loss of a couple of positions is effected in this scenario.
3. New algorithmic changes that put more value on a certain factor or dis value another factor.
4. Earthquake... site structure disrupted causing pages to be down/missing etc
5. Penalization or banning

Okay I will now attempt to dig deeper into each of these scenarios...

1 - Some of the back links to your site have been devalued
Where are the majority of your backlinks coming from? Reciprocal, links pages or directories? If so it is likely they have been devalued/discredited by Google. This happens overtime. These are the easiest forms of link building and as such are not seen as very high quality by Google.

The relevancy of the directory/links page has a great deal to do with how much value is originally passed and whether it will be devalued. Directories or links pages that allow irrelevant, low quality trash to be listed/added will lower the value of your link. As more and more of these links are added to the page your link appears on the value of your link drops lower and lower. This can cause rankings to drop and even appear to flux. Directories and links pages which only have a few links and which are related to your site and which are also preferably authority and high quality will have the most value and are not likely to be as easily devalued. That is why it is a good idea to watch where you get your links and to make sure it is quality and selective.

There are sites created for the sole purpose of building links. They put up some make-shift content and then allow webmasters to add links. Such pages generally lose value quite quickly as more and more sites are added to their "resource". Sites that are hard to get a link on are the best links to go after. I don't care what it takes, spend 5 hours getting that one link... it will prove far more valuable then those 50 FFA links you could have gotten in that same time period.

When reciprocating links look for quality sites which are particular about who they exchange links with. Sites that have only a few link exchanges instead of practically accepting anybody.
Sites who are careful who they exchange with will hold their value much better and you will get more out of the exchange. Sites which exchange links directly on content pages have a much higher value and tend to not lose value, instead the value is likely to rise if the content is good and draws links from other sites.

You must be very careful that you know who your linking to and what if anything your paying for that link. DON'T waste time exchanging links with sites if all you get is a link on a links page. It will start out as a greatly devalued link and will lose more and more value as more low quality links are added.

And NEVER EVER exchange links with any site that is not related and that you can not vouch for as a quality resource. Be safe, stay relevant and stick to quality links only.

2 - A competitor has gotten the edge on you
This generally only effects a few positional changes. Such as a drop of 1-2-3 positions. However if you are slacking and haven't been working as hard as you should to keep your rankings then a good many of your competitors could rise above you just because they are still working and you aren't. If this is the case then you will likely see a slow but steady loss of rankings.
A good many sites in business fields pay for continued seo/link building so if you stop working it is highly unlikely that you will stay where you are very long... unless you have high quality link baits which act as high-power link magnets. In which case you will always be maintaining a quality site but will have a far more secure position. BUT don't let this convince you that you can sit still, even high quality link baits can be beat... by higher quality link baits

Also some of these factors I am mentioning combined may do alot of damage. Say you are slacking on your links but not only that the links you were acquiring were low quality which are being devalued by Google. Your competitor on the other hand developed a tool which is in very high demand, this tool acts as a very powerful link bait for their site. Some of these links are of very high value and authority. In such a situation you could lose alot of ground. Cause not only are you using very poor means of link building but at least one or more of your competitors is using VERY GOOD link building techniques. Are you following my logic? That is why I always suggest building up the quality of your site. The back links will follow but without a good quality site you are going NOWHERE!

3 - New algo changes that put more value on a certain factor or devalue another factor.
This factor is similiar to the first, actually it is the same in a way. Algo changes can put more or less value on a certain factor resulting in loss of rankings literally overnight.
Google seems to be updating as they please lately which means you will see changes all the time. Massive updates such as the bigdaddy can cause alot of unhappy webmasters though. But again you must understand this is generally because of devalution of low quality links and link building methods or because Google is finding new ways of deciding whether or not your site is as good as they once thought. Google is getting smarter are you?

If you are using low quality link building methods and then Google devalues them even more you can lose a ton of ground. Ground that you could have held if you had been working on building less but more quality links.

4 - Site structure disruption
If a page on your site that used to rank well suddenly disappears and is not immediately fixed the ranking is likely to also disappear.
When moving to new pages use 301 redirects from the old to the new but if at all possible keep the old pages.

I have seen whole sites disappear from Google because of site problems whether it was server downtime issues or the page disappearing... I once purchased a site off a guy for a wicked price, I mean I got a wicked deal. The site was hosted with a reseller who had terrible support and not the best uptime so I decided to move the site. Well in the process the host decided to suspend my account. To make a long story short by the time I got the issue resolved(or close to it) I had lost all my rankings and traffic. The site had a increase in traffic of 40-60% each month, it had great potential but I lost it all due to a stupid host.

Learn from my mistakes, don't ever let one of your sites be down due to server issues or whatever. And don't ever let pages get deleted... you never know what rankings you might lose due to a simple page disappearing from your site.

5 - Penalization or banning
You need to understand the difference here. When your site is banned a site:mydomain.com query will show no site. However this is not fool-proof as a new site will also appear this way until indexed unless you know for a fact your site was once indexed. Also as long as there is at least ONE PAGE indexed you are not banned.

Your site can be penalized without you even knowing however and without loss of any pages from Google's index.
Don't use methods such as hidden text, cloaking, or other black hat seo techniques. Some sites do rank well WHILE using these methods but NOT because of them. When in fact removing the black hat methods could improve their rankings. -30, -49, -950 and other such penalties are myths IMO. I have yet to see proof of them. Ohh no today my site dropped 7 positions. I got the -7 penalty. This IMHO is nonesense.
Design and build your site as though search engines were nonexistent. Design and build your site for the visitor not the spider. If you do this you will find your sites are more quality and will actually rank much better, because links are more easily obtained.

So to end this article, if you have recently lost rankings it is probably a result of one of the above factors. I suggest you work on building up the quality of your site as a whole and individually creating link bait resources, create new content regularly, write on unique subjects(within your niche) which other bloggers miss or have not fully covered. Provide answers to questions not easily found, provide an easy navigation both for your visitors and your robot friends. Create a HTML sitemap - the xml version is not needed.

Google is working to improve their search engine and make it even more relevant than it is now. Content is a very high priority. Don't under-estimate that, its indirect seo benefits are worth as much as the links they attract.
And I mean content as in Wiki quality content. That is content which is unique, quality and very informative. As such it attracts links very well. I am not saying create your own wiki. I am saying create wiki-quality articles.

If you follow the above suggestions you will improve your chances of creating a virtual link bait out of your site. This will cause webmasters to link to you without even being requested to do so. This type of link building is the most effective of the highest value and believe it or not the easiest to get.

Build sites based on your knowledge. Don't start a mesothelioma site JUST BECAUSE it has high adsense earnings. Build sites based on subjects you are very knowledgeable in, are passionate about and which you can provide useful information on. These types of sites perform very well in Google.

I find most of the ranking losses are for sites that are not following this method. The webmasters of a good many of these sites are not very knowledgeable about the subject they are writing about but they thought there was some good money in it
As Google devalues these low quality sites they will continue to drop... Instead of blaming Google however, use the tips I have given you to create sites that will perform well.
